February’s Mission of the Month is Caracole

Caracole is an organization located in Cincinnati that provides HIV prevention, testing and harm reduction programs for the community, as well as housing and health care assistance for individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS.

Caracole has been offering services to adults living with HIV/AIDS since 1987 and is the

only HIV/AIDS organization in our region. The agency annually serves thousands of

people living throughout the Tri-State region in Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky,

and Southeast Indiana.

Lakeview UCC has been supporting Caracole for more than a decade with both monetary and in-kind donations.

We hope you will be able to contribute to our February mission by providing a check to the church or donating online via our Pushpay account. You may also bring to church your donations of items listed below and place them in front of the altar. These donations will be taken to the Caracole office after the first Sunday in March.

Most Needed Personal Care Items:

*Body wash++
*Deodorant ++
*Toothpaste
*Razors and shaving cream++
*Body lotion++
*Toilet Paper
*Shampoo and conditioner, especially those for African American hair types++
++ Personal care items most needed in unscented or gender- neutral scents.
