September Missions of the Month: Neighbors in Need and Shared Harvest

One September mission is Neighbors in Need, a special offering of the UCC that supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. Our gifts support American Indian UCC congregations and their pastors, as well as national ministries that address poverty, economic development, global concerns,civil and human rights, peace-making, racial and economic justice, environmental concerns and public policy advocacy. This year’s theme is “Mental Health Justice for All: Mental Health is a Universal Human Right.”

A second September mission is Shared Harvest, a local program that supports organizations in a 5 county area that focus on providing food and advocacy for adults and children who experience food insecurity.

Please give as you are moved, designating your offering for the Mission of the Month.    If you do not designate a preferred source for your gifts, your giving will be divided equally between the two missions.
